BetaNews Has Basically Become a Spamfarm, All the Latest 'Articles' Are SPAM and LLM Slop

No kidding...

This is the "Latest Technology News": (front page of this "news" site)

Latest Technology News

They're serial sloppers or "repeat offenders", so mentioning this every other day isn't spurious. It shows a persistent pattern. All the 'articles' are deemed LLM slop with maximal certainly: (if it's not obvious from the shallow surface and bland "text" or "content")

Pawport has announced its updated Smart Pet Door at CES 2025.

In November 2024, we covered the reveal of Satechi’s Mac Mini M4 Stand and Hub with SSD Enclosure, a versatile accessory designed to add functionality to Apple’s Mac Mini M4

OWC has released its new Active Optical Cable

That last one is some LLM puff piece, looking to puff up the pyramid scheme of "genAI".

This used to actually be a news site.

5th from the top (outside the screenshot) is the site's editor publishing marketing spam, not a real article.

So even the editor is part of the problem. They know exactly what they're doing.

BetaNews is a laughing stock, to say the least.

Update: So as of 8PM (same day), Fagioli is still at it. He has just published THREE more LLM slop/SPAM in one hour. BetaNews is clearly out of control. It's just flooding the site with garbage, hoping to somehow turn this into a sustainable business model.
