BetaNews Spreads Donald Trump Propaganda, Promotes Scams, and Publishes Fake 'Articles' About "Linux"

posted by Roy Schestowitz on Jan 20, 2025

This is typical BetaNews:

LLM slop: Rhino Linux 2025.1 is a smart choice for those ready to leave Windows; Relays Trump propaganda. Biden did not force a shutdown, this is TikTok faking it in collusion with Trump.

Below that they promote a scam: "How to buy Donald Trump’s $TRUMP memecoin using Solana"

Unbelievable! What next after Webspam?

The "Linux" article is fake, as usual:

The latest version of Rhino Linux, 2025.1, has officially launched, offering an impressive set of updates and features.

As for the latter, now it is obvious that BetaNews is just spreading disinformation for the Chinese Communist Party.

From Ryan: "For a few hours this morning, TikTok shut down. There was ultimately no reason for them to shutdown because they knew that President Biden would not be in office long enough to take action. They put praise of Donald Trump in their shutdown message so that it would be seen by tens of millions of people. Then a few hours later, while they were still banned, they broke the law and the unanimous Supreme Court ruling and turned it back on, thanking 'President Trump' who was not even the President for 24 more hours, who has promised to help the Chinese Communist Party break a bipartisan law passed by the US Congress and upheld by all 9 justices, including 6 Republicans and 3 Democrats. What has happened today is the beginning of the end of the United States as a functional democracy with rule of law. While TikTok itself seems small, Donald Trump's promise to help Bytedance openly break laws and his assistance to a tool of Chinese Communist Party Propaganda signal a beginning of the end to decisions of two of our 'co-equal' branches of government having any actual effect."
