Latvia (and Lithuania) Stepping Away From GAFAM, Microsoft

Problem for Microsoft. Down to 43% in Latvia (in Lithuania as well), for Windows becomes unessential as Android and GNU/Linux rise.

Desktop Operating System Market Share Latvia: Microsoft-sponsored Trump attacks east Europe's interests

Desktop Operating System Market Share Lithuania

Some years ago we covered corruption in Latvia's patent office [1, 2, 3].

It seems like we almost never mentioned GNU/Linux in Latvia and Lithuania, so now is a good time, knowing that Latvia's and Lithuania's politicians worry that the US administration fronts for Vladimir Putin and openly - even proudly - abandons NATO, EU etc. Microsoft is sponsoring this, so why should people of Latvia/Lithuania (or the Latvian/Lithuanian administration) pass even a penny to Microsoft?

Lithuania (pop. 2,839,023) and Latvia (pop. 1,859,175) have a combined population close to Finland's (pop. 5,621,477), so this isn't a negligible market, even if Finland is a lot richer.
