IBM 'Results' Due Wednesday Evening, Expect Clues About Mass Layoffs

posted by Roy Schestowitz on Jan 26, 2026

An hour ago: (bluewashing is still killing companies)

After 10 years, this week marks my last days at IBM.

IBM is about to drop the hammer (or axe). As somebody put it earlier today in this thread about ongoing layoffs: "IBM will announce its earning on January 28, 2026 and will surely reference some "restructuring expenses". Anyone can join the Earnings call, here's the weblink..." (lots of other comments in this thread have been deleted/censored since we saw them)

That's later this week. From another thread:

There were manager and department meetings last week

Don't expect IBM to say anything about "layoffs" or "RAs". The company has mastered the 'art' of skirting the WARN Act to avoid WARN notices [1, 2].
