Windows (GAFAM) on the way out

In Iraq, GNU/Linux was measured as very highly adopted lately (the country has some domestic distros) and Windows is seen/measured to have fallen sharply (around 4% this month; Android still dominates).
The war in Iran is already being compared to all sorts of past events, including Vietnam and Iraq/Afghanistan wars. Soon, the US currency can collapse because of oil trade, set aside other factors. There are rational questions about the reliability of the US as an ally and defender. Countries look out for contingencies.
Merely hoping the war will end (ASAP) is easy; making it happen is almost impossible because the decision-makers are super-rich people, corporations, their well-connected "lobbyists", and the politicians they "lobby". Some corporations make more money than ever from this war. So their "lobbying" makes good "business sense", even if it's really bad for their country. Like many other rackets, war too is a racket.

It should be noted that the above essay predates World War 2 and nuclear bombs.
If oil runs low this month, it'll have an effect partly similar to the March 2020 lock-downs. In some parts of Asia some public (government) workers are already instructed to work from home as there's not enough fuel for commuting. It is a form or rationing. Wait till the fertilisers' deficit begets low crop yield and literal starvation in poorer countries/demographies (caused by food price inflation, if not for or save for expensive government/taxpayers subsidies).
On this not-so-positive (but realistic) note, happy Easter. We won't publish much today, we want to go out and enjoy the holidays. There are still many things to be enjoyed, including nature and kind people. █
