Expect Many More Whistleblowers From Microsoft

There is this article today about people who retire from GAFAM (it names "Microsoft") at 55 and suffer for it financially. But we already know Microsoft compels many older workers to leave and even pretends to us all (via a supine, submissive media) that people in their 40s are voluntarily "retiring", which is baloney.
There is this discussion about Microsoft's HR retaliating against workers who dare stand up for their rights - a subject mentioned in passing this morning in the sister site. As someone put it some hours ago:

As for the performance reviews - this is very questionable. These are internal and confidential documents. Sharing them outside would certainly not help anyone to get a new job, but exactly the opposite.
They could be retained for legal reasons, assuming you'd expect to file a lawsuit. But realistically, most people just take the severance package with 6-12 months worth of pay and just move on.
Very much the same as PIPs at IBM. Microsoft too does PIPs. They push out or force out "expensive" colleagues under the false pretence of low performance, which in turn makes it harder for those colleagues to find a job (stigma).
We envision many pissed off workers from Microsoft will become whistleblowers after next week's giant wave. █
