The Slop Presumption Rule
Number of words (or lines of code) is irrelevant to value
Every day I see fake articles from about half a dozen slopfarms - those are filled with fake "linux" articles (apropos slopfarms, the other day Futurism said "Slop Farm" in a headline). There is no reason to believe anything in them is a real article. No person would drown out one's own domain with slop, then maybe issue a real article 10% of the time or 1% of the time.
Take UbuntuPIT for example. Belatedly realising what it had done to itself, it deleted all the slop pieces, then went silent. It is unreasonable to believe that slopfarms like linuxsecurity, linuxjournal, fosslinux, linuxteck, linuxiac etc. would bother writing any real, proper article. They already gave up on authenticity, why be authentic just 10% or 1% of the time? Having demolished the incentive to actually be honest, they should just be ignored altogether.
For readers, the above sites will be presumed slop. Likewise for musicians, coders and so on.
Tainting oneself can take one day. Establishing reputation can take a lifetime.
Slop is based on a scam, a fraud, it's worse than plagiarism and dishonesty. Those who participate in it won't survive the impending calamity which is the bubble imploding (trillions of dollars in debt are a sign of what's to come, inevitably). █
