Media 'Blackout' About Microsoft-Danfoss Connection After Almost 1,000 Supermarkets in France Get Cracked, Huge Amount of Food Destroyed
Keep it simple, stupid (KISS) was how we described the issue last week. It's also Microsoft/Windows TCO.
![[Yes, for fridges that cook food at 50 degrees (Celsius)] In 2012, Danfoss was the first to integrate variable speed technology in commercial air-conditioning. Danfoss Link™ smart heating is introduced. In 2014 alone, 213 new patents were granted. "In 2019," according to Danfoss, "Danfoss established an IoT collaboration with Microsoft to bring domain expertise in Refrigeration and HVAC to the cloud."
This past week Danfoss became "famous" (known to many who had never heard of it) and lots of damage got done. The media did not mention Microsoft:

Even when "Microsoft" was mentioned it was nowhere in the body of the page/article. Not even sheltered deep inside somewhere.
Extending the scope of the search, there's still no mention of Windows or Microsoft, not even in slopfarms.
And "this leads to pure, performative theater," an associate has noted, quoting: "France's national cybersecurity agency (ANSSI) confirmed to time that it is investigating the attack both at the national level, to accompany potential victims, and at the European level to coordinate with its counterparts."
The associate said "the investigators will ignore the paper trail(s) leading back to the managers who knowingly signed off on purchasing Microsoft products" because from what we can gather it's a topic intentionally avoided also when water treatment facilities get remotely sabotaged via Microsoft Windows [1, 2, 3].
Do we have technical media? Do we still have functioning media in general? Blaming "Russia" (and that's it!) isn't just sloppy and lazy. There are human errors here: someone deployed malware to fridges. █
