I figured it out as I went along. I had no idea what I was doing, but it said said up an Ext2 and a SWAP partition with Partition Magic and then boot from the Mandrake CD and tell it to install on the Ext2 partition, so I did.

Just a quick update: given Apple’s recent plans to implement client-side scanning (a huge privacy violation), we are most likely going to remove Better from sale in the near future. (They’ve left a very sour taste in my mouth and I no longer feel comfortable recommending them as a stopgap.)

That said, I’d still love to see the Better rules included in GNOME Web and find a way to ensure that they can be maintained going forward. The biggest maintenance issue is sites that break (themselves, on purpose) and working around that. Beyond that, it would be good to start running regular automated crawls again. But that requires time and effort.
