[Meme] Always Right (at the European Patent Office)
All of Europe suffers, and without generous salaries tied to monopoly-granting; it's about much more - and something much bigger - than ergonomics (immediate convenience for examiners)
The European Patent Office is doing truly horrible things these days and they destabilise the European Union as a whole.
The Office, Europe's second-largest body, has no sense of the Rule of Law; it continues to worsen.
To name some examples, it immorally drives judges (almost) to suicide; it even ignores court rulings, illegally spies on judges, sets up unconstitutional kangaroo courts, stuffs its own internal tribunal and then overrides its decisions. Heck, it habitually breaks the rules of its own foundational documents, shamelessly and deliberately. It engages in collective punishment against judges, dethrones ones who actually do their job, and ignores/crushes their union.
The ergonomics-type aspects may matter to staff, but meanwhile in Europe we got 100+ court rulings from an illegal "court" that was initiated criminally, defying the Vienna Convention. We need more responsible and responsive politicians. We need to regain the sense that laws actually exist in Europe (and apply to everybody). █
