A pyramid scheme

Let's take a quick look back.

11 months ago, Murdoch's media parroting Scam Altman was like this: (others did too, it's like they get paid to promote a pyramid scheme until the US defaults on the debt or Open"AI" belatedly declares bankruptcy)

Sam Altman Seeks Trillions of Dollars to Reshape Business of Chips and AI

Months ago: Visits to OpenAI's Site Plunged by More Than 67% in the Past Half a Year Alone

Real progress right there!

More fictional numbers floated days ago.

Just about 12 months ago they cited some future year (like 2029), floating some totally ludicrous figures of "investment" and "worth". Of course a lot of the remaining media (and LLM slop reposters) played along. It's hard to find that chaff on the Web now, it's googlebombed out of existence, but it did help con many "investors" at the time.

Does Microsoft still plan to invest "trillions" in "clown" and "datacentre" and "hey hi" (AI)? The company has more in debt than it has available to spend.

What happened to fact-checking in the media?

Hey, Scam Altman, in 2025 will you look to raise 70 trillion dollars. Also, will your employees get murdered in their own home for calling out your BS?

When a pyramid scheme goes awry and accountability is pursued (perpetrators sued) things get violent. When SVB went under (just before the weekend) people with deposits there would reportedly bang on windows or park their "Tesla" near the failed bank, aggressively demanding their money. Biden and Yellen passed the bill to the general public (taxpayers), but they aren't going to bail out fools who were bamboozled by the "hey hi" scam (e.g. pension funds that "invested" in Microsoft based on vapourware and corrupt bookkeeping). They won't even be in Office; the convicted felon in charge is notorious for not paying his own workers and filing six bankruptcies. In other words, he's a master of passing the cost of his own failures to other people.

This was only days ago.

Yellen: 'Extraordinary measures' to avoid US debt default

How much of Wall Street is just "pumped" by pyramid schemes like "genAI"?

If the mainstream media and national broadcasters know (and can see) it's a pyramid scheme, why aren't they calling it? Why are they playing along with the scheme instead? Are they paid to keep the scheme going for longer (in other words, increasing the number of victims it'll eventually have)?
