In the previous part I explained why it all started in 2012. I opposed back doors in Linux. Garrett showed up in my blog posts, posting comments opposing me while promoting Microsoft's false talking points. It was and still is a Microsoft project.
Last night we wrote about "Trust in "Certificates" and "Authorities" (like Microsoft)" because there's a major incident that shows it's a disastrous idea. We've been saying this for well over a decade and explained - in our capacity as technical people with background in Computer Science (that Garrett lacks) - the reasons why. We wrote many dozens of articles about "Certificates" and "Authorities" in all sorts of contexts, including programming. We gave the technical details but delivered in a fashion that was legible to lesser-technical people and coherent enough to people like my parents.
Garrett is upset that we spoke out about these issues. He didn't debunk what we said, instead of tried to weaponise causes that he does not even support against us. He then began sending threatening letters from solicitors. He had them send several such letters in 2021.
The inevitable outcome would drag down both of us (Garrett and I), financially and occupationally, as I warned him repeatedly 5 years ago. It was obvious all along that even if I won a case, he would not pay me (or my legal costs). He's not in the UK. Several lawyers (from 3 firms) confirmed this to me. Is he Royal? No. Is he a rich millionaire? No. Is he famous? No. So why take this to the Royal Courts of Justice? The judge in charge of media has already said this was a waste of the Court’s money.
Garrett did not think about this rationally. He was just very angry, he sought 'revenge' (by lawfare), and he didn't mind what morality his allies had. It became self-destructive and cost him a lot while accomplishing nothing. He got himself entangled in a GGG paradigm ("Restricted Boot" Garrett, "Microsoft Plagiarism" Graveley & "Gas The Jews" Lozza) and he cannot get out of this mess, not even with further (weeks-old) threatening letters. What bothered him the most is that we kept pointing out that he was no security professional; he pretended to be one. Even his spouse says the same, openly and publicly, many times this year. His spouse! He cannot do security, he cannot even "use computers or power tools" (days ago).
Garrett is also very jealous of Daniel Pocock. It's very blatantly obvious, judging by his clear obsession. He envies Pocock because he accomplished a lot (in many tribunals in many countries) without spending a million or two million dollars on racist lawyers and does he not collaborate with men who strangle women while spending money neither of them has (more so now with unemployment). One day, I think, Garrett will look back at the whole thing and recall his collaborators (from Microsoft). The UK's High Court made him poor, not famous. It made him unable to sleep (he makes confessions to that effect in social control media). It made it more widely known what terrible things he had done for Microsoft with back doors such as Restricted Boot. It made him a pariah in Free software circles such as the FSF (not the fake copycats that attack the FSF). What will third parties that funded his litigation think of him? What will the UK Establishment think of him?
In my view, he is a traitor to his country unless his country is NSA (not USA). It's a small world for fake security experts [1, 2] who name-drop acronyms and buzzwords to compensate for a lack of honesty and professional/scientific integrity (what GAFAM peddles is more like a religion or a cult their employees must always blindly follow and Garrett swears on the Bible, so why not also adopt the "GAFAM religion" with accompanying tribalism and rituals?). UEFI "Restricted Boot" was never ever about security. Anybody with comprehension of how computers work (and can fix their own computers) knew all along it would be about monopoly at the expense of security. █
