I am the f--king president, ladies

NOT any EPO President other than António Campinos dropped "f bombs" at workers; nor has anyone except him and his friend Benoît Battistelli sent money to Belarus. Today we share this very short (but to the point) open letter sent to António 'f--king president' Campinos:

Throughout your entire mandate you have unfailingly rewarded our female staff at a lower rate than average. Can you tell us why?

It must be noted that this is hardly the first time this issue is brought up or the question asked, right? The culprits tend to just run away from such questions. This letter is short enough to merit an honest response. Absent a reply, guilt can be assumed.

Accompanying this letter we have these charts, based on data from the EPO (divulged only after repeated pressure from staff):

Rate of allocation of any pensionable reward

The communication sent out to staff said:

Rewards for female staff members: Open letter to the President

Dear colleagues,

The staff representation have published on the unequal distribution of rewards with respect to gender many times (2022, 2023, 2024, 2024 bonuses), and highlighted the point during various meetings with the administration, yet little has been done to address the issue. The administration clearly agree that it is a problem, as they always include a remark on the “gender gap” or “gender equality” in their annual communication on the reward exercise (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2024 bonuses).

However, the problematic gap persists, and although the gap for any pensionable reward has been slowly reducing (first graph), the same cannot be said for reward of promotions and bonuses (fourth and fifth graph).

So we now ask the President a simple and direct question in this open letter, and hope to finally receive a concrete answer.

The Central Staff Committee - CSC

Any "concrete answer" tends to be months late and unsatisfactory (when people already forgot the question and stopped caring). It's a political tactic. Campinos is a low-grade politician (or son of one), without any connection to technology, science, or even patents (or comes from trademarks, which are very different; trademarks are more about marketing).
