head in sand
"I don't want to put my head in the sand!"
She said, full of despair, still shook by the emotional roller coaster she brought us both on.
She was describing, in gruesome details, the account of young children put in cage to be raise as sex salve. -
LQ’s account of the end
Hello there, my name is Louq.
So I am back again and I am making a book. I listened to the entirety of a collection of albums.
I am here to write down, some commentary about a collection of albums that I watching at this current moment. it is called “Nowhere In the Millennium Of Space: redux”(a.k.a NATMOS:R), created by the Caretakers. It uses a year system, with the album containing 8 years in total.

Tea. Hot?
Conventional wisdom is that the cup for the tea should be pre-heated, and possibly also the tea-pot, too, so that the tea does not cool off too much when poured into the cup, or that the brew happens at a more consistent temperature. This somewhat assumes that the vessel has some degree of insulation; a metal cup or teapot may not hold a pre-heating for very long. This conventional wisdom also has a Temperate or more pole- or mountaintop-wards bias; in Tropical climates the tea is sometimes poured between metal cups too cool it down enough for drinking, a warm climate reversal of a cold climate "heat the saké up before serving".

Books: Unlike Any Other
Printed books are fascinating to me. They occupy a place in societal conscience that no other medium can, at least reliably.
Books are one of the few forms of storytelling at all, and probably the only long-form medium, that use no energy on the part of the teller. To read a book, one doesn't need an Internet connection, an up-to-date operating system, or indeed any electricity at all. A television or music player uses energy for each play of a TV show or song. Not so for a book: one does not need to print a book twice to read it twice. Once a book is bound and placed on the shelf, it can convey the knowledge within as many times as the reader wishes. Its only limitation is the physical integrity of the book.
A book is passive, but our engagement with it is anything but. It holds its tales quietly on the page, while the mind of the reader brings the words therein to life. Reading, being a language-based medium, engages an analytical part of the brain that our senses don't naturally reach. We develop neural connections between disparate parts of the mind--emotion and reason, feeling and thought, experience and abstraction--by reading books.

OFFLFIRSOCH 2025 round up
Well, March is over, and the second installment of OFFLFIRSOCH is over with it! I managed to put up the official archive pages of all entries on Gemini and Gopher last night, but the round up post unfortunately had to wait until today.

overthinking this bear thing again
both smol pub and bear blog are really good sites.
i enjoy the work i put into my garden here, but i realize that my Overly Complicated Tag and Index System can be greatly improved with bear's tag system. i am very much reconsidering my previous stance... which i'm a LITTLE ashamed of. that's okay though, i think. people are allowed to change their minds without the fear of judgements and the fear of being perceived as pandering just because option B is popular (aka the fear i have talking about this).

midnight.sh and CLI for site uploads
Being able to use midnight.sh to post replies is pretty convenient- is there a similar way to write a shell script or use some other CLI to upload and modify my midnight personal home page?
