Moving on in Techrights, Geeks Gonna Geek

posted by Roy Schestowitz on Jul 31, 2025

Earlier today:

Richard Stallman reminds me of the age when tech guys were loveable and good hearted geeks who lived amongst us mere mortals not the billionaire greed machines they became.

And added some hours ago, "I told you Stallman was alpha."

This past week we published loads of articles. We had gotten tired of wasting our time on Microsofters and their SLAPPs, which are basically driving straight into a concrete wall and are, at best, deadlocked.

So we expect to spend the future wasting less time talking about their ordeals (dumb lawsuits they should never have started) and instead write technical articles about technical issues.

It's a shame that 18 months were spent dealing with over 5 KG of legal papers instead of being focused on our core topics.

In the coming weeks we plan to focus (as we explained last week) on patents, GNU/Linux issues, and the occasional philosophical essays. That's what we like to do and would rather do.
