Besieged by Plagiarists Who Play With LLMs and Image Fusions
Last night we published a quick "Slopwatch" installment, taking note of a Serial Slopper (SS), Fagioli, whom we get many complaints about. Under the guise "gpt5" the Serial Slopper produces more slop in promotion of Microsoft LLMs*. He must be in love with those things, which help convert official pages and online resources (as well as original works) into slop:
Slop image and text likely derived from Marius Nestor's and Bobby Borisov's pages (Borisov too began experimenting with LLMs for a while, but after we spoke to him about this it seems like he withdrew).
The real threat here is that if Serial Sloppers are tolerated, the incentive to produce real, original, authentic articles will fizzle.
We really need to exercise or use our collective voice to oppose Serial Sloppers. Being passive is a problem. █
______
* It's not just him. The Register MS is ONCE AGAIN promoting Microsoft LLMs (several times in recent hours). The Register MS is compromised, but its promotion of LLMs can be traced back to money that it receives. Among the spam there right now: "OpenAI's GPT-5 is here with up to 80% fewer hallucinations". Microsoft marketing, replete with false claims. They even embed the MARKETING videos in the 'articles'. Terrible!
