Something Bad is Happening in the Open Source Initiative (OSI)
Did Josh Simmons (former OSI Pres.) delete his Microsoft LinkedIn page? It certainly looks like it. The previous profile returns a 404 and any attempts to search for it (in Google, LinkedIn etc.) does not succeed. He's one example of GAFAM-OSI 'revolving doors'.
As a reminder, this is the person who bought Microsoft money to the OSI - to the point where half of the OSI's money was Microsoft money. The latest OSI blog post is from a Microsoft operative and a few weeks ago the Executive Director left. Something truly bad is going on there.
"Anyway," a whilsteblower told us last night, "I will catch up with you very soon as someone contacted me about some more drama and open source and said it’s getting bad."
Yes, well, one can tell! They also appeared to have totally abandoned OpenSource.net. What purpose does today's OSI even serve except adding hype to the "AI" Ponzi scheme?
We'll be writing more about this sooner rather than later. █
