More Microsoft Layoffs Coming Soon
Hours ago:
In 2023 Microsoft laid off many workers. In January of that year it admitted to the media it was (or would be) laying off 10,000 or 11,000 workers. Of course, as usual, the real number was higher. This year a lot of the media keeps talking about 15,000 Microsoft layoffs, even if so far in 2025 Microsoft has laid off over 30,000 people, many of whom were based in China.
When I spoke about Microsoft layoffs (routinely) I got very viciously attacked by Microsoft boosters. They'd flood IRC with pornographic links, hate speech, and pro-Microsoft spin, especially each time there were Microsoft layoffs. This is all very well documented. We have all the IRC logs online. In hindsight, a lot of the stuff above (like those pornographic links) was done by a so-called 'trans activist', whom we reported many times to the police. The police agreed with us; being trans does not make it "OK" to commit crimes online. We'll write a lot more about this in the future.
Microsoft does not have a solid future; it will still exist in the coming years, more or less in the same sense IBM still exists and IBM products are still used in some places.
In 2026 (as soon as it starts) there will be plenty more Microsoft layoffs. We'll report on those as well as possible. If people sympathetic towards Microsoft engage in online crimes to suppress our coverage of Microsoft layoffs, we shall again escalate to the relevant authorities. As a side note, we have "slam-dunk" proof (hard evidence) of behind-the-scenes coordination between people who did this. But that will have to wait until next year. █
