Online Mobbing (and Worse) Disguised as 'Free Speech'
19 days from now Richard Stallman will give a talk at a US college for the first time since 2018. "RMS has requested a few minor changes to the poster before we begin our campus advertising campaign," an organiser told me. "Once those updates are approved by him and the FSF, I’ll be sure to forward the final version to you ahead of the event."
If the wrong words are used, I've said, then "his haters will take advantage, call him "hypocrite" etc." There are already smear campaigns underway.
We've meanwhile noticed that the fund-raising campaign is nearly "completed":
There's almost a million dollars on top of this.
People who say they believe in "free speech" have been trying hard to silence RMS and squash the FSF. That's because they don't really believe in free speech [1, 2]. They just want to hear themselves talk, even glorify violence. █
