They Know Microsoft Layoffs Are About to Hit Them Hard
The gaming division at Microsoft is a complete catastrophe, lots of money (debt) down the drain for several years already
"Quality assurance (QA) workers at Blizzard studios in Albany, New York and Austin, Texas have overwhelmingly voted to enter a union contract with Microsoft," writes Cass Barkman. We saw almost a dozen more articles about this (prior to hers) and the real news is, workers fret what comes next and try to group (power in numbers) to counter what comes soon, maybe later this month.
Given what a failure the gaming division at Microsoft has been lately, it's grossly overstaffed and debt is surging. Microsoft is bleeding and it'll need to copy Oracle by shedding off up to 30,000 more workers. There's no other way. XBox won't make a comeback/rebound. Also, the Khan-led FTC was right; Microsoft was always a disaster waiting to happen - or misery for Activision staff. Buying Activision was all about misleading shareholders or hiding the deep trouble/problems XBox was having. █
