Small is Beautiful (in Cascading Style Sheets/Inheritance Rules)

The community continues to improve the site and an associate has reduced the size of the CSS file by refactoring or simplifying things a few years ago, then again a few days ago. This can significantly increase page-loading speeds where the visitor has connection speed limitations or rendering slowness (weaker hardware). Every kilobyte (KB) matters. Shaving off even one KB is desirable, unlike "IRL" and unless that KB is highly essential.

If done correctly, pages can take a tenth of a second to fully load (it's mostly dependent on transmission distance and network congestion/lag). █
