2026 a Year of 'Top-Down' Microsoft Layoffs (Management First)
As noted earlier, having seen about 20 'articles' about it (mostly prepared puff pieces, prepared with/by Microsoft and then repeated by other sites/slopfarms), we are increasingly convinced XBox is dead and recognised as such. Microsoft knows there's no route towards recovery and it already tries to market the gaming division as an "AI" something. This won't work, even if it helps "buy time" from Microsoft shareholders while Nadella et al cook the books.
What's curious about this year's mass layoffs is, they start with the leadership. Stay tuned for what comes next. █
