Updates About Richard Stallman's Free Software Foundation
Richard Stallman's current list of talks suggests there are no imminent/upcoming talks, so we plan to do another series about him some time very soon. People who keep defaming him love projection; they portray themselves as the victims.
Earlier today someone who's preparing for SecAdmin 2026 recalled Stallman's participation a decade ago:

Many more photos in there today.
After all those years (a decade) and in spite of phony scandals many people out there still respect him. The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), however, decided it's not OK to wish him a happy birthday [1, 2].
We've meanwhile noticed that the FSF (and DBD) withdrew an article about DRM, saying it was flawed and "contained several factual errors."
Did Stallman's mind get borrowed for assessment before it got published?

Excellent that they quickly withdrew what they knew to be false.
Sadly there is still a massive lag/overhead in the LibrePlanet discussion mailing list.
"It's too bad," one subscriber told us, as "no one is allowed to send to LibrePlanet because [redacted] was bringing up important topics there for discussion. List moderation is not a new thing, it's a solved problem so I can only conclude that the LibrePlanet mailing list has been smothered on purpose."
In some cases they let questions go unanswered for months (e.g. Ukraine) and then respond belatedly and in person. Stallman does not shy away from politics, both in his talks and in his Web site. That's why some people resent him. At least he insists on freedom of speech. █
