Microsoft Layoffs Have Reportedly Already Started at ZeniMax
- id Software Jobs Completely Removed From Zenimax Among Microsoft Layoffs ("Microsoft bought Zenimax in 2020 for 7.5 Billion dollars.")
- 'It's Going To Be Pretty Brutal' - Jason Schreier Reveals More On Upcoming Xbox Layoffs ("What's happening is going to be pretty brutal. The word "bloodbath" has been thrown around among people that I talk to who know what's happening. It's going to be bad.")
- Report: Bethesda layoffs may be happening as Xbox Game Studios breaks up ("Sources tell a longtime game developer that layoffs have started at Bethesda's parent ZeniMax and that devs not on Fallout or Elder Scrolls aren't 'safe'.")
They won't wait for July. They won't even wait for June 30th, which some said was the "d-day" (two weeks ago we saw July 1st, i.e. the following day).
Based on reporting we saw earlier this week, layoff notices were already handed out and this seems to be widespread, even confirmed in some studios.
The overall scale is unknown, but last night we explained why "official" numbers will be a lie. █
