Farage Out, Daniel Pocock in?
Earlier today, at around midday, the embargo got lifted and "Pocock-on-Sea" (Daniel Pocock's candidacy for Clacton-on-Sea) was 'unveiled'. Two years ago he ran for the European Parliament and received a decent number of votes. He was (self-)described as "an Irish-Australian software engineer. He has worked for a number of banks and on 2021 founded the Software Freedom Institute, whose aim is to put humans "in charge of technology"."
"Reform UK leader Nigel Farage resigned as Clacton's MP to cause the by-election," said the BBC a week ago.

Many independents appear there and the page was last updated yesterday. Pocock's candidacy was confirmed only more recently than that.
"Existing news reports and Farage's resignation have referred to cryptocurrency and hacking so these are good themes for blogs about the election," Pocock told us. "There will be intense public interest in these topics."
Can Pocock beat his previous voting record? █
