Big Blue's Quiet Axe - Poem Regarding IBM "RAs"
No idea who posted this, but it is profound
Big Blue's Quiet Axe
The Call:
A sudden ping at dawn, a screen turned black,
No room to speak, no turning back.
Decades of code and service grown,
Reduced to numbers on a phone.
The Words:
They call it "rebalancing" the scale,
A sterile memo sent by mail.
Not fired, just a "resource action" planned,
As futures slip through corporate sand.
The Cycle:
The veteran leaves, the server hums,
While newer, cheaper logic comes.
The logo stays, the loyalty dies,
Beneath the blue, unfeeling skies.
