We try never to make fun of Opensuse (the 'community'), which is in some sense the
biggest victim of Novell's management. However,
since Novell is after a spanking tagline and it's a holiday, perhaps you would appreciate
some humour:
- openSUSE – Because Vista Is Expensive
- openSUSE – We're Now Americans, And Steve Is Our Friend
- openSUSE – Our MONO Culture Is Not Microsoft (Yet)
- openSUSE – Forget About Ron, Some Of Us Are Still Germans!
[...]
Happy Easter! (to those who celebrate it)

original on opensuse site: * openSUSE - a savage Linux experience
more acurate: * openSUSE - get ready to be savaged
they should fix their quality assurance process first, and start using more than one testing script for the SuSE/Novel made software before looking for cool slogans.

* Opensuse - "I'm with Stupid ->" [Microsoft]
A lot of people seemed to like it, but it depends on the audience. I try not to take cheap shots in my posts (even if it's just for humour), so I just chose to quote part of somebody else's list. I suppose comments are somewhat of an exception. ;-)
It worries the mind indeed that Novell is preoccupied with marketing when its main issues are not being addressed. "Your Linux is ready" was their previous campaign, which didn't seem as successful as their viral "I'm Linux" spoofs.
