I think it is some executive at Redmond who has decided to be more "open" and is getting ISO rubber stamps on everything...

Its Microsoft new strategy of competing with open source...lol

Rather than improving their products, they are doing PR stunts (ISO certified)

What they have forgotten is market no longer needs them or their overprice buggy products, they have become obsolete.

ISO is the new weapon at Redmond. They are going to destroy ISO in pursuit of their own agendas. Already they have done a lot of damage to ISO.

Just confirms the fact that Microsoft destroys everything it touches.

The next 'standard' they'll try to ram down the throat of ISO is XPS, which is already at ECMA. They want to challenge the existing ISO, PDF, because it's not controlled by Microsoft.
