Have a great holiday season. Several years ago, this Christmas poem, about the scox scam, was posted by a user called diogenese19348. Still worth reading, IMO:
--------------------------------
All the Tuxes in Tuxville liked Linux a lot
But McBride just north of Tuxville did not
McBride hated Linux
He considered it treason
We are not sure why
No one quite knows the reason
It could be he had
A complete lack of insight
Or it could be
He could not run his company right
But whatever his reason
His brains or the bucks
He stood there in Lindon
Just hating the Tux
Staring down from his office
With a sour Darly frown
At the millions of computers
Dragging his company down
For he knew every Tux
Down in Tuxville believes
They can download free Linux
He called them all thieves
And they are using Open Office
He snarled with a snear
And they’re avoiding viruses
Worms give them no fear
Then he growled and began to
Start nervously prancing
I must find a way
To stop Linux advancing
For two quarters away
He saw bankruptcy coming
Then he had a thought
Yes, he was using his thinker
And as bad thoughts go
This was really a stinker
I’ll claim Linux is mine
He squealed with delight
They used my IP
That just isn’t right
So where do I start?
I’ll sue IBM
After all
We once had a contract with them
And I’ll raise the stock
To fantastic heights
To make stockholders happy
(Thank God they’re not bright)
Next I’ll go after
The end users too
They all will just hate me
What else can they do?
With help from my partners
MicroSoft and Sun
Who will front me the money
To get the FUD done
Then I’ll threaten invoices
Lawsuits and mayhem
It will run up the law tab
But Baystar will pay ‘em
So where will this end up?
Well nobody knows
Darl won’t show the code
That’s just how it goes
So we all sit with breath
Held, and tongues baited
For the judges to rule
On old Mr Darl
Who everyone hated
The outcome we feel
Is just not in doubt
It just takes a while
To throw the crap out
