Watching Our Videos Before We Write Articles for Them
It has long been possible
YESTERDAY was a productive and positive day for us. We got almost twice the usual traffic levels and many people watched our videos. From yesterday's logs:
grep webm /var/log/apache2/*.log.1 | wc -l 22321
That's not counting mp4, ogv, ogg etc.
Over the next day or two we'll release 3 more new videos. They're already accessible from this page, but I've not yet written text (articles) to go with the latest 3.
Videos trapped inside YouTube have become a scandalous 'adfest'; we're so relieved not to be participating in any of this. YouTube will only get worse every year. Any time you upload anything to YouTube you let Google exercise power over you (or become your "boss"). It's not "free" or "cheap" hosting because you pay some other way.
Our next video will explain how LinuxFest Northwest became a slave of YouTube (Alphabet/Google) and of Microsoft. Southeast Linuxfest did better. █
