Bonum Certa Men Certa

Happy Birthday to Linus Torvalds (55)

posted by Roy Schestowitz on Dec 27, 2024

Mr. Torvalds

SOME idiot at Beta'News' is writing about Torvalds as if he's dead, using LLMs to fake an 'article' about that scenario. Torvalds, who is far from a fan of LLMs, turns 55 in a few hours. The photo on the left is him just months ago. Judging by appearance alone, his health probably improved in the past year or two. This is him 2 years ago. We're hoping he'll lead the Linux project for decades to come and end up living a long and fulfilling life. His character is under attack; he's not the "git" which bashers and haters say he is (jealous and opportunistic GAFAM career climbers, provocateurs). Theodore Ts'o praised Torvalds for his leadership skills, so Ts'o too is under attack. █
