Yesterday's "Distinguished Lecture" by Richard Stallman Possibly Attended by Close to 1,000 People
The capacity of the place is about 900.
Dr. Richard Stallman (RMS) has managed to almost fill up or fully fill up the largest auditorium at Sapienza Università di Roma. We've checked how many people can sit there (not standing) and it says the hall is "boasting a capacity of over 900 people". Assuming that alludes to the same venue, it's impressive and more than this past Friday (where many of those attending had to stand up; the organisers 'under-provisioned'). We'd like to think of this as a sign of Software Freedom becoming more 'mainstream' when companies like Google try to sort of ban it. █
