After Days Offline Soylent News is Back Online

Some days ago the Web site and the IRC network of Soylent News both went down and I could not find in any IRC network (not even ours) my reliable contacts in Soylent News. We began to worry. Another day passed. And another...

Then we said, system/network recovery was probably delayed due to the US holidays.

A few hours ago I saw the contacts back online in our IRC network. Then the IRC channels and the network of Soylent News came back as well. As of minutes ago, the site too is back online.

Good to have Soylent News back in "business", seeing that today and yesterday it kept adding new stories (though those were not accessible to any of us).

Jan Rinok recently added "Rust For Linux Kernel Co-Maintainer Formally Steps Down" and the latest story is also a "Linux story":

GNU/Linux is truly going places.

Our gratitude and compliments go out to Mr. Rinok and the rest of the team. Soylent News is a very important site and online community; please keep it going for many years to come. █
