It's plausible given the exodus of management figures (not just 2 executives). It's also telling as there are PIPs, not just the hiring freeze.

Does a HR goon inform you, in-person or through email or zoom? If I get a layoff notice. I'm going to stop logging on to my laptop and waste my time reading or responding to emails.

Given recent developments, including stagnation and utterly low morale, it's only a matter of time before the next mega-layoffs at XBox (and Microsoft at large). The brand got abandoned or replaced, there are silent layoffs (yes, at Microsoft also), and various executives leave. They know what's coming.

We just don't know the exact date/s... yet. █
