Upgrade Successful
Upgrade was scheduled for midday today. A couple of hours earlier we needed to ban many IPs and set up new blacklist rules due to rogue activities slowing down the site and half an hour before we began the upgrade a police investigator called regarding threats we had received. This is progressing. Not to be elaborated upon at this point though.
Sites' upgrades went OK, a little manual intervention was necessary afterwards (as expected), but we had a downtime of only 1-2 minutes overall (for two reboots). That's a lot better than we expected. It's impressive that a change of OS can have so little visible impact to a site's visitor. █
