- A future without Microsoft
Windows Mobile has had a very hard life penetrating the mobile market; today, in 2008, Windows Mobile is still tottering. The only really usable device I’ve seen using it was one made by HTC: Andrea was showing it to me, pointing out that without HTC’s proprietary UI extensions (which are very iPhone-ish), HTC PDAs would be mobile nightmares. I am holding my breath, waiting for the HTC Dream to be released: that’s an Android-based PDA which should make the iPhone feel like a text-based terminal. And yes, Android is based on Linux. I suspect that once people start noticing Android-based devices (and they will, once HTC Dream comes out), the Windows Mobile market will shrink even further.

I'll cry tears of joy should Microsoft's evil empire finally crumble. What we have to be concerned about, however, is Mr. Gates going into American politics, a lot of fools love him, and even some intelligent FOSS users mouth they see good in him so they don't appear to be anti-Microsoft (translation: they may be bright but they still want to fit in with their cow-minded peers who use Microsoft Windows because they are too retarded to know anything different in this WEE (wii) game playing mind fuck world).
We must band together and continue to inform, once Microsoft's illegal monopoly's grip is freed at the OEMs, Linux will pour in along with other operating systems and freedom of choice will truly begin anew, with the computer industry witnessing a fresh breath of innovation.
Don't expect Egg sucking Ballmer or his monkey boy Gates to go away quietly into the night, this is one ruthless company, who I believe will go down very nasty, kicking and screaming like the spoiled rotten child that it is.
