He doesn't seem to have an understanding of what they talk about and according this video which we put here recently, he is likely to appoint pro-software patents figures/lobbyists as advisors. Some of these issues were also discussed in [1, 2, 3, 4, 5].

Well, If McCain wins, I think software patents may well become a smaller problem. We'll all have so much more to worry about ... :)

Looking at that video, will McCain change anything at all if he gets into office? I mean will he help the country or help destroy the country. You Americans need a leader that is not evil (i.e Bush), and will actually lead you to a better economy, fix the IP system and help prevent government corruption. Your best chance at doing that is with Obama.

Watching this, I was expecting him to give some complicated answer about software patents that showed he knew nothing about them. I wasn't expecting a flat out NO! Wow, that guy would be a great leader... :D
It would be interesting to see some charts, based on some long-term study, comparing the general health (blood pressure, BMI etc.) of people who use proprietary stuff and people who do not
In the case of Rust, instead of "the liberation of the digital society" we have empowerment of Microsoft GitHub and of GAFAM in general. Guess who funds this...
