Raspberry Pi Reaffirms Its Commitment to Microsoft (as Trojan Horse Inside Classrooms) and Abandons the Free Software Community

Video download link

Summary: Microsoft is nowadays speaking 'on behalf' of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, shilling proprietary software while lying about the nature of that software (with Microsoft keys and repository installed covertly weeks earlier on millions of devices, without users' consent)

THERE is something really painful about seeing those whom you gave a lot to (promotion and even money) liaising with those looking to destroy you, but that's exactly what the Raspberry Pi Foundation seems to be doing right now, even for the second time in less than a week.

As pointed out here (in a new video), blog posts of the Raspberry Pi Foundation are now "penned by a senior cloud advocate from Microsoft" (second time in a week) and an associate of ours reminds us that "he doesn't remember EDGI and similar, still ongoing, programmes."

Microsoft isn't trying to help anyone but itself. It's trying to impose surveillance and proprietary software on those who generally reject Microsoft. In a sense, however sadly, Microsoft has killed what Raspberry Pi stood for (originally) and the blog of the Foundation is now controlled by Microsoft. This is second time in a week. We saw similar things in the blogs of OSI and the Linux Foundation. Once the money from Microsoft is at the bay the institution is generally compromised. Just like media/publishers who take money from Bill Gates in exchange for the most ridiculous puff pieces.

We're going to keep an eye on these affairs, knowing for a fact that it was us who broke the story -- an ongoing and fast-growing blunder that the Foundation is reluctant to address or de-escalate.
