Week 2 of April IBM Layoffs Accelerate Based on Rumours
IBM layoffs ("RAs") are a nonstop thing, but IBM tends to do "lump sums" several times a year and ahead of "results" later this month there were rumours (in March) that after the holidays IBM would do it again, as the CFO alluded to back in January.
2 hours ago: "Heard about Layoff at IBM"
The post says: "I heard from my colleague at IBM that a layoff is coming. Has anyone heard the same, or is it just a hoax? After the Oracle layoff, everyone on my project is worried."
At Oracle it was due to mounting debt.
"You or your career don't matter in any way, shape, or form," another new thread has said. "Anyone who tells you IBM cares about your career is lying. There's no interest in developing people. None. The only focus is the stock number and the people at the top getting wealthier. Everything else is noise." █
