Microsoft Shuts Down GitHub (All Offices) |
GitHub Hasn't a Bright Future and, by Extension, Projects Hosted by Microsoft/GitHub May Have Big Trouble Ahead
Summary: Layoffs at Microsoft are accelerating further, there are several waves this year (already!), but the media has been busy running sponsored puff pieces (SPAM) for Microsoft; meanwhile, as per few reports, HoloLens is destroyed (the Army contract too is cancelled; that's $22,000,000,000 in graft). Azure (which Microsoft insists is the future) keeps shrinking considerably for the third year in a row, and "Azure test engineers, systems administrators, and product managers have posted on LinkedIn within the last few days" about being laid off (speaking of LinkedIn, there too there are fresh layoffs that Microsoft sites spin/downplay). Why don't "mainstream media" sites or corporate news channels cover it as much as they did all the "HEY HI" (AI) hype? Does Microsoft money compel them to let the layoffs 'slide'?
Maybe so some more "Bill Gates says" pieces...
that'll help.
