Android and Linux Climbing in France
THE media barely talks about "OS" market share anymore. Maybe it "lost interest" when it could no longer humiliate GNU/Linux activists by telling them stuff like, "Windows is 95% (or more) of the market!"
In France, based on this month's numbers from statCounter, there's more Android than Windows and GNU/Linux is on about 3% on desktops/laptops (roughly the same as the global average). It is not unexpectedly Chrome-dominated with Firefox at a relatively high 8%. Looking at ASEAN, the Philippines shows Microsoft losing share since that chaffbot disaster (hype) and Mozilla Firefox is now the "one percent". Madame Baker (currently running Mozilla like a bank) apparently had 61% market share in that country. Now it's 1%. However ASEAN is the current focus of our sister site. █
