Julian Assange on Privacy of People, Even Little Children
Video published before his arrest in London.
Video (WebM): Julian Assange: 'This generation is the last free generation'
THE social control media problem has changed the concept of privacy. Assange spoke of parents uploading photographs of their kids to Facebook. He had previously said that Facebook/Google (or GAFAM, an acronym I coined with Assange) knows you better than your mom knows you.
Passing a bunch of laws won't help as long as foolish parents keep uploading information, including videos, about their children (too young to understand this or even consent to that). We now have adults, full grown-ups, doing the same to themselves, not only to vulnerable kids whose rights they unilaterally relinquish. █
