  • Radlands vs Netrunner

    My thinking on Radlands vs Netrunner is that the limitations of Radlands is what really weigh in its favor. A very simple non-camp card pool with no fancy or weird cards, two copies of every non-hero character and of every event so one quickly learns the pool and what to expect and most games we pull pretty much the same cards but because of how the game works, completely different things happen with those cards. It’s just such an elegant design, it’s genius, I love it.

    As for my introduction, I like to think of myself as a computer historian. I am in academia, with a focus in both computer science as well as history. As you can tell, a quaint little pub like this place is right up my alley! Most of my work involves research on programming languages, and implementation of old protocols. I just came off the heels of writing a basic USENET implementation, and am planning on writing a paper on it soon.

All of our processes—markets, policy, elections, legislation, even day-to-day living—are geared toward exacerbating the problem rather than solving it.

      I'm no longer seeing where I got the bash script for posting to Midnight Pub, but I used it on and off, but too many times suffered partial postings because when what I was publishing had shell characters that the script/shell couldn't handle, so I can't post a link to it....
