Revisiting Albania and Neighbouring Countries Where Windows Took the Plunge
TODAY we look at a region of Europe (and some of it part of the EU) where GNU/Linux has decent adoption.
First of all, Windows fell sharply in Bulgaria in May and in June. North Macedonia is similar (Windows at lowest level in a year). Albania shows high adoption rates of GNU/Linux (we noted this last month), but Albania also has its share of scandals, e.g.:
- Karen Sandler, Outreachy & Debian Money in Albania
- Mark Shuttleworth resigns from Debian: volunteer suicide and Albania questions unanswered, mass resignations continue
- Halász Dávid & IBM Red Hat, OSCAL, Albania dating
- Albanian women, Brazilian women & Debian Outreachy racism under Chris Lamb
Instead of tackling these issues, Debian, Canonical and IBM only attacked the person who merely talked about these issues, based on reports he got from women in that area. █
