Data From Monaco Should Alarm Microsoft

posted by Roy Schestowitz on Jun 25, 2024

Monaco flag

Monaco is estimated to have the world's highest GDP per capita, based on the IMF, World Bank, and United Nations. It is way ahead of Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Norway. By all mainstream yardsticks.

Money is hardly a factor when choosing a PC or operating system if you're one of those yacht owners in Monaco, so many buy a new PC and it comes saddled with Vista 11. What's curious about this picture, however, is that Vista 11 fell back to the same usage estimate it had more than a year ago. Heck, it was measured at over 50% last summer and now it's down to 38%.

Just how many people are deleting Windows and installing something else this year?
