Promiscuous Behaviour (Even Nude Parties) by Microsofters Needs to be Illuminated
3 years ago we learned about what "Team Mono" had been doing in GitHub. We started a series about it and within weeks (or at most a few months) the two ringleaders, Nat Friedman and Miguel de Icaza, suddenly resigned. Their friend had a habit (that they were aware of back then); he was very aggressive, including in bed. But they too had done bad things; for instance, we heard potent rumours about Nat Friedman showing up naked at parties.
The response of "Team Mono" was to litigate; yes, litigate. They targeted the victim by litigating. Sure, it was the Mono people who deserved to be sued, but having amassed a lot of Microsoft money they decided to litigate victims and whistleblowers.
Welcome to the minds of Microsofters!
It does not even need to make any sense.
We spoke to one recipient of the SLAPP.
"Lots of infuriating posts," she told us. "Like the one about "doxxing" [...] my lawyer was talking to his lawyer today and his lawyer is embarrassed at how delusional his client is. But they think they're gods and they are, untouchable criminal gods..."
You see, when exposing abusive behaviour and even actual crimes (with arrests) by Microsofters they try to frame that as "doxxing" or an abuse of privacy.
Over the next few weeks we'll have a lot more to say about this.
The "untouchable criminal gods" (above) also shared a house with Jake Appelbaum. Many of those things are connected. Stay tune, we've got piles more. █
