From 99% in 2012 to 27% in 2024: How Microsoft Lost Georgia
BACK in May we said that Windows had fallen to 33% in Georgia. In June we saw Bing losing half its share there. Last month Windows decreased to 30% and now it's down to 27% with Vista 11 stagnating (probably about 6% of all operating system used!). We see the same in Moldova and probably most other countries (Windows is down by a lot in Moldova [1, 2]).
What's unique about Georgia is the rapid pace of the decline: (36% in January, now 27%)
There have been patently false claims in the media about "growth". What we're seeing is a migration from Windows to other platforms, notably GNU/Linux, sometimes on existing hardware. █
