Even Worse Than Racism at the Linux Foundation

posted by Roy Schestowitz on Jan 02, 2025

And worse than corporate colonialism

The Linux community is so unruly!!

This is the very latest from the Linux Foundation (LF):

South Asia (India included)

THE IRS compels the LF (which misuses the brand "Linux") to reveal how it spends its money, which it derives from selling seats on the Board to firms like Microsoft. Ethical? Moral? No. Legal? Probably. Corporations suggest the laws and pay politicians to pass them.

So the LF pays one person from India more than it pays the whole of South Asia (India included). See the PDF. It's right there in the numbers.

There are many more absurdities in the latest IRS filing, including millions given to a company that seems like a scam [1, 2, 3, 4]. Is it run by relatives of someone? Has anybody even checked? Are there tenders for procurement? What are the protocols for whistleblowers at the LF? None exist, right?

The IRS compels them to publish these annual forms, but it does not subject them to oversight or regulations of any kind (just bland accountancy). It's up for us to hold them accountable, based on information they must divulge.

LF: we have 200 million dollars in the bank (and same for annual revenue), so we'll give just 622,162 dollars to the whole of South Asia ("events"). Makes sense, right?

This is what happens when you pay well over million bucks a year to some people... like they're NBA players rather than grifters who do NOT even use Linux and never coded. They make up for it by swimming close to the sharks and working for Bill Gates.

Mr. Torvalds is 55; it's never too late to wake up and smell the coffee. He still possesses the Linux Mark, so he can probably do something about this whole charade of capitulation and openwashing (outsourcing code to Microsoft's proprietary GitHub, an epic GPL violator).

Why GNU/Linux is Growing
There's growing interest in GNU/Linux right now because people do not fancy buying a new PC just to 'upgrade' (more spying) Windows
