Chasing that Car
It was a drive home like any other, but in front of me on the final push was an old red Porsche.
There was something captivating about this car, a relic of the past still being kept alive by delicate hands, and the way it sped off, which egged me on to tail it down the winding road as the synthwave music kept blasting on the speakers, illuminating the lights of my Mini.

April 2025
This month has been the month of my « come back » to the gemini space. So it makes sense that it is also the time to come back to my monthly review that I don’t want to publish on my blog to be back on my gemlog. I’m not sure why I don’t want to publish these monthly reviews on my blog, but that means that I haven’t written one for the past year, as the last one was March 2024… Don’t worry, I’m not going to do a lengthy “yearly” review.
Side note: This post is my first {web, gem}log written with my new keyboard. After multiple try at ergonomic keyboard like the ZSA moonlander or others that I never managed to use (in azerty or bepo or ergo-l), I sold them and went back to a traditional 75% azerty keyboard. But then, I heard about the dygma raise 2, a 50% split keyboard with traditional layout, meaning not ortholinear. I know it is better for my finger but even after trying multiple times I just couldn’t. Having a split keyboard with a “regular” layout was the key for me to finally move to a split keyboard. Maybe it is the first step to maybe one day upgrading to otholinear, but for now I’m super happy about this keyboard. A proper review will probably be published on my blog later this month.

Running the Alps
That is, running the Alps with a heart for plants! We arrived in the Vallais today and as soon as we had emptied our luggage we decided to go for a jogging-hike to the Cave du Sex (yeah, that’s the name!) and we took some pictures on the way.

not a garden blog 3: cluck cluck, motherfucker
After several weeks of thinking about it, I pulled the trigger and ordered hen chicks today. I am now lowkey panicking, but in a good way.
I haven't had chickens since childhood. Back then, I thought taking care of them was onerous - mostly because I didn't want to take care of other people's chickens (and the chickens were very much my parents', not mine). It took me a while to reevaluate and realize that it's actually less work per day than having my two long-haired, barf-prone cats. It takes about as long to clean a coop as it does to unload and reload a dishwasher.
I also had to read my local ordinances, as I now live in a subdivision. Tl;dr the chickens are fine and so is my composting setup for their manure.
Then I did the math on setup costs. Turns out I can build a solid, fully insulated henhouse and run for the same price as the crappiest pre-built options available.
