Slopwatch: Comparing Linux to Vermin, Attacking BSD With LLM Slop, and Helping Microsoft Demonise Linux/OpenBSD/SSH Over Weak User Passwords

posted by Roy Schestowitz on Jun 05, 2025

Today's Slopwatch will be short as only about 22 hours have passed since the last installment of Slopwatch.

Let's start with this recurring pattern of articles about "Chaos RAT" -- whatever that name means (RAT is an acronym, not a new one, but the sloppers use "rat" to make slop images). We keep seeing slopfarms and they keep pushing this (we gave an example last night from Serial Slopper Fagioli, associating Tux with rats). Here comes another slopfarm with another fake 'article':

New Chaos RAT Malware Targets Windows and Linux Systems

More from the sake Serial Slopper, pushing Microsoft (GitHub) Maoism using slop, likely made with Microsoft LLMs:

Ubuntu 25.10 Will Introduce Rust-based Sudo

Apropos Ubuntu, just over 20% of Planet Ubuntu right now is LLM slop and it is mostly the fault of one person. If Canonical doesn't step in to correct this, then its official or main planet will be tarnished with botspam.

There's also slopfarming at WebProNews; it carries on (LLM vs KDE) right now and we'll soon show another new example of this site slopping away at KDE (in our next article). It's just some really awful slopfarm, which used to be a real news sites:

FreeBSD: The Unsung Hero of Open Source Operating Systems

There are real author names there, but it looks like they replaced humans with bots (bearing names of people who may or may not exist).

OK, and speaking of BSD (or OpenBSD, not FreeBSD), consider what this notorious slopfarm has just done:

New Linux PumaBot Attacking IoT Devices by Brute-Forcing SSH Credentials

Google News sends traffic to this slopfarm, as it does to WebProNews.

Google seems to have no quality control anymore.

In the above, to be sarcastic, of course it's the fault of SSH (and OpenSSH) when there are bad passwords! And it's also the fault of Linux!

The other day the Microsoft-friendly sites blamed SSH for some Windows client having problems, as if SSH and Windows (or that Windows client) is the same thing!

Microsoft must be laughing its arse off, seeing how a bunch of Serial Sloppers (no skills, no comprehension, no integrity, no creativity) and slopfarms use Microsoft LLM to flood the Web with anti-Linux FUD while it's trying to sell to Europe the false promise of security (reality: back doors controlled by the hostile Cheeto regime that wants to invade Denmark, i.e. the EU) because it loses a lot of business there while layoffs accelerate and debt spins out of control.
